Grand Union Canal Race
The Grand Union Canal Race is run from the centre of Birmingham to the centre of London along the Grand Union Canal.
Competitors are required to complete the 145 mile distance within the time limit of 45 hours.

Only 29 out of the 75 runners who started at Gas Street in Birmingham on Saturday morning made it to the Finish at Little Venice in London before the 45 hour race cut off time.
Ultra Runner Tracy Lawless of Middleton Harriers was one of only two women to finish this epic event.
