meet the coach

Hello, I’m Paul Taylor,  I’m a Level 3 British Triathlon Coach and Level 2 British Cycling Coach  and Coach Educator and Assessor for both organisations. I have been involved in multisport and endurance activities as a competitor coach and technical official for a number of years.

I work as a freelance coach and coach educator for a number of organisations, including British Cycling and British Triathlon, for whom I was formerly their Regional Club Development Coach with responsibilities for their Regional Academy. Other clients include Triathlon Scotland, Manchester Velodrome and a number of triathlon clubs, schools and individuals from novice to elite competitors. I also try to put a little back into sport as a volunteer and referee.

I have also been involved in multisport and endurance activities as a competitor for a number of years. Initially hill walking to relax and keep fit soon led to me achieving the Mountain Leader Award and training and assessing others to take groups into the hills and mountains of the UK and.

Seeking other challenges I undertook long distance multi day walks, and as my fitness improved I started competing in mountain marathons and adventure races. This in turn led me in to running and cycling; then a friend introduced me to triathlon.

Whatever I’ve done I have always sought to improve my knowledge and performance and have looked to those who could help me do so.

Why coach? I guess real success is finding your lifework in the work that you love. I get a huge kick out of seeing people take on a challenge, learn and master a new skill, achieve a personal goal or complete a challenge they thought beyond them.

I do not profess to have all he answers but I can help you find them. I have managed, developed and coached people for over twenty years in the highly competitive world of information communications technology. This has given me a more rounded perspective to getting the best out of people; a perspective that goes beyond just writing a training plan or suggesting what to eat and drink.

So if you want to be good2go get in touch by email or call me to discuss what you want to achieve.

Paul.
